Behavior Technician
Responsibilities
- Work in home, community or school settings to support children with autism by providing 1:1 intensive behavioral therapy
- Carry out individualized lessons and behavior plans as directed by supervisor
- Utilize ABA instructional strategies, including but not limited to discrete trial teaching, natural environment training, incidental teaching, pivotal response training, and verbal behavior
- Facilitate social skills training
- Record child’s progress, graph data and update data sheets
- Attend team meetings as needed, as well as internal and external professional workshops
- Communicate with supervisors regarding child’s progress/behaviors and any intervention modifications
- Work collaboratively with teammates, parents, and other professionals
- Maintain organized program binder and complete required paperwork
- Maintain agreed upon schedule for child, arrive to scheduled sessions on time, and notify supervisor and families of any scheduled changes
- Make reasonable attempts to provide make-up sessions or find substitutes for missed sessions
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Experience using ABA-based strategies a plus
- Pursuing undergraduate studies in psychology or education fields a plus
- Employment conditional upon satisfactory background check
Program Manager
Responsibilities
- Work in home, community or school settings to support children with autism by providing 1:1 intensive behavioral therapy
- Provide support, training and feedback to Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians
- Work closely with and collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts, parents and other professionals
- Utilize ABA instructional strategies, including but not limited to discrete trial teaching, natural environment training, incidental teaching, pivotal response training and verbal behavior
- Facilitate social skills training
- Record child’s progress, graph data and update data sheets
- Monitor data paths to ensure treatment integrity and continued child progress
- Assist in data analysis
- Ensure staff development and training in implementation of program
- Participate in parent training and monthly team meetings
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a Master’s Degree program and a desire to pursue a career in Applied Behavior Analysis
- Enrollment in a BACB approved course sequence preferred
- Experience implementing programs and working in the field of ABA for a minimum of 1 year
- Commitment to developing and leading teams
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- Ability to keep organized with meticulous attention to detail
- Employment conditional upon satisfactory background check
Clinical Director
Responsibilities
- Oversight and management of 1:1 intensive behavioral therapy in home, community or school settings
- Provide support, training and feedback to Program Directors and Behavior Technicians
- Design individualized lessons and behavior plans that target developmental needs of the client, and directly serves to reduce or replace any challenging behavior exhibited by the client
- Ensure that the program utilizes evidence-based teaching strategies, including but not limited to discrete trial teaching, natural environment training, incidental teaching, pivotal response training and verbal behavior
- Facilitate social skills training
- Monitor the child’s progress and graphs to ensure progress is occurring, and intervene when data path is stagnant or variable
- Update binder and data sheets as needed, to ensure all staff are carrying out programs as designed
- Complete required progress reports as outlined by reporting dates document
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Attend team meetings as scheduled
- Communicate with team members and families regarding child’s progress/behaviors and any intervention modifications
- Collaborate with Clinical Directors and other Behavior Analysts on an as needed basis to ensure continuity across programs, staff development and program quality
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Masters Degree Required (Education, Psychology or a closely related field)
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the field of ABA, designing programs and overseeing individuals
- Commitment to developing and leading teams
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- Ability to keep organized with meticulous attention to detail
